The
Amazing Dobermans - 1990 PG (1976??)
Bigger budgeted sequel to the earlier films The Doberman Gang
and The Daring Dobermans. This time, the pinschers are back,
and they're even more fun than before. A federal agent taking
on a powerful racketeer enlists the aid of the talented canines
and their owner - the oddly cast Astaire - who is a quirky
Bible-quoting ex-con man. The last film of the series, and
one of Astaire's lesser known pictures; worth seeing for that
alone.

"DOBERMANN"
 |
With Vincent Cassel , Tcheky Karyo and
Monica Bellucci . "Doberman" is a French film
which approaches the themes of drugs, homosexuality
and gangsters . In effect in this film, there is a group
of robbers who don't hesitate to kill, to steal money
in banks. In this gang there is Vincent Cassel named
the Doberman who is the leader of the group , Monica
Bellucci is his girlfriend, called Mute, and Tcheky
Karyo is a corrupt policeman who tries to kill the whole
gang. He's violent and he doesn't hesitate to use blackmail,
taking a baby hostage as currency. The characters seem
to be crazy but they are all drug addicts and they're
all more or less eccentric. You don't need to see American
films when you want action ; "Doberman" is
a film which mixes up violence , humour and criticism
of our society . |
